Your profile
A surprising amount of people crash out at the profile stage, and for apparently different reasons; the profile might be too basic, not hard-hitting enough, or on the other side of the coin in some cases it could be overdone.
In fact, there are lots of potential pitfalls in the profile, which is why it is one of the hardest sections on your CV to write well. What you should really be aiming to do is get the balance right. You need to immediately let the employer know that you are a serious contender, whilst at the same time not going overboard and tipping the balance.
