Questions page 6

Q. Don’t you think that that is an easy thing to say?
A. Yes, it is. At the same time, I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t believe it, and we put our money where our mouth is by backing it up with a very special guarantee.

I don’t see any other company actually guaranteeing that they can improve upon our CVs, whereas we give a money back guarantee if we can improve any other professional CV.

I think that this is an extremely important message that is clear and there for all to see on our website, but for some reason some people just don’t realise its significance – but it is highly significant. We are effectively saying to people that we will guarantee that your CV will be better than that of any other CV company, otherwise we will write it free. That’s some statement in any language!

Q. Does it bother you if clients go elsewhere?
A. Yes and no. It really depends on the person and their reasons.

Q. Why yes?
A. I never like it when someone genuinely understands and appreciates the service we have to offer, and wants to use our services but says the price is out of their budget. And the reason I don’t like is that ultimately we want the best for those people who genuinely want our help. Unfortunately though quality does cost, and top quality writers do not come cheap either. We certainly believe our prices are very fair considering the quality of work we produce compared to that of other CV companies. Yes, we could work at lower rates. However, if we did so the only way to make it work economically is to do what other companies do and take on inexperienced writers at lower rates, and spend less time on each CV. However, if we did that quality would inevitably suffer. That’s not what we’re about, and I don’t really believe that you help anyone by giving them anything other than the best possible CV (and this means the best writers spending however long it takes on it).

So it does bother me when people in this situation go elsewhere, because I do get the feeling that they will end up paying a lower (albeit still significant) price for something which is nowhere near as good and isn’t really going to help them.
