Interview with a CV writer

Have you ever wondered what it is like to work as a professional CV writer?

These are Paul’s responses to interview questions posed by recent graduate Amelie.
There are lots of questions so we have spread it out over several pages.
Please feel free to browse them.
You can also share/like/tweet these pages, as well as ask Paul some questions of your own if you like!

Q. What do you actually do?
A. That’s a good question. My job entails a bit more than that of a typical CV writer. In addition to writing CVs I also deal with some initial enquiries, allocate work to the other consultants and I also do a lot of the work associated with our free after sales service. This involves liaising with clients, responding to queries, and ensuring quality/customer satisfaction etc.
Q. Do you do anything else?
A. In addition to this it is usually either myself or Sylvia who takes on personal statement jobs, and I also receive requests for other bespoke writing including web content, personal bios and marketing copy etc. If that isn’t enough, I also liaise with the web developers and have a hand in our web design and development. Oh … I also play a part in our quality control process, proofreading work etc.
