Weighing Up Your Options

Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Not everyone is blessed with vast CV writing experience or exquisite writing skills, and some people are honest enough with themselves to realise this and put their hand in their pocket to engage a professional. Of course, many people are put off at the prospect of paying for something which they could arguably do themselves. And this is perfectly natural. However, what a lot of these people do not realise is that it can actually be a false economy to go it alone and stick with a DIY CV. You only get one shot at good jobs and an awful lot of good jobs will go by the wayside if you are not using your strongest possible CV.

Everyone is, of course, entitled to do whatever they want; be it write their own CV, copy a sample CV or engage a professional writer. Also everyone’s circumstances are different, and some people are better writers or have more disposable income than others. I can’t tell you that you should do this or do that, but at the very least I hope I am presenting you with food for thought to help you make a more informed decision.
