When should you write a thank you letter?

When going through the job application process some people write thank you letters to employers after interview. This is not obligatory, and not everyone does this. However, sometimes it can be advantageous to do so, although at the same time, just be aware that if you don’t do a very good job at it then it can also backfire and be disadvantageous.

So the moral of the story here is that if you’re going to write a thank you letter, then at least make it a good one.
