The Book Title

The One Page CV wasn’t my first choice, but it has come to grow on me.

I don’t actually know whose decision was to call it The One Page CV but I do think it reflects the book well in many respects, because the book does highlight the importance of writing powerfully and concisely on your CV, and the book does show the reader how to refine their CV down in size. Moreover, the techniques shown in the book can help many people refine their CV down to just one page. At the same time, some people do want a longer CV (e.g. two pages), and my initial thinking was that The One Page CV may alienate those readers who preferred a longer CV.

That said, I’m writing specialist, and I don’t claim to be a marketing expert. And if a leading publishers’ marketing department thinks that there is something in The One Page CV as a title, then I’m pretty sure there is.

Besides, nothing stands out like a one-page CV, and if anything The One Page CV is a title that will probably stand out too.
