Objectives Example

As mentioned on the previous page, CV objectives tend not to add much value to job applications. For example, a typical CV objective statement may be along these lines:

“To find employment and potential career progression with a leading company as a sales executive.”

This is all well and good, but put yourself in the sales employer’s shoes for a moment. Does the statement tell him/her anything that he/she didn’t already know? Probably not.

Good CV writing is about knowing what to exclude, as well as what to include – and objectives fit into this category. A powerful profile is often a better bet.
